Google Expeditions Replacement
Google has announced that it will be ending support for its educational virtual reality (VR) apps, Expeditions and Day Dream, on June 30, 2021. These apps will be removed from iOS and Android app stores, and the Tour Creator feature within Expeditions will also no longer be available after this date.
Expeditions will be incorporated into the larger Arts & Culture app, allowing users to access VR tours via web or mobile device.
Using SchooVR with your existing VR/AR kits
The SchooVR platform is compatible with most existing devices. If you have equipment that was previously compatible with Google Expeditions, it should also work with SchooVR. This means you can continue using your existing VR equipment with the SchooVR platform, without the need to purchase new hardware.
Both teacher and student Android applications currently support Android 7.0 upwards.
